How I used Unreal Engine to create a Lofi video.

My friend and I just launched a new Chill Lofi channel on youtube called : Haïku. Here I will show you how with Unreal Engine, drawing and animation I've done our first video.

Inspired by Japanese culture, we wanted to have as a main Character a Red Panda.

After I've done the illustration of it, my friend ask me to create a "loop animated scene", where we can see Haïku living his life, chilling in his room.

To set it up, I used some assets from the Unreal Engine Marketplace,

mostly the one called "Assetville Town", then I started create a cozy room.

I also added to my scene a "Stylized Cartoon post process", the one from Atomdev, to have a render match the drawing style we were looking for.

After setting up the room, lights and Camera angle, I started the hand Illustration process.

From here I started to separate all elements who has to be animated later on the video.

I finished the illustration with more work on lights and shadows then placed Haïku on his bed.

I then started the animation process to ended up with the video you can see on the channel.
